Richard’s Yorkshire upbringing stirred his passion for all things rural at a very young age. In his school years he worked part time on a large country estate then went on to study Landscape Architecture and Garden Art and Design at Leeds Metropolitan University.
For over 20 years, Richard has worked for some of the UK’s finest historic estates and beautiful rural business parks and private houses, providing consultation, design, project management, forestry related matters and planning permission resolution.
Richard’s expertise is ensuring design longevity, in-keeping and sympathetic to the current surroundings and architecture. This is done by using traditional, quality, period specific materials and construction methods to create or restore landscapes and garden features.
His natural attention to detail, exacting standards and eye for aesthetics have ensured he consistently delivers on projects for clients either as a consultant, project manager or design alone.
Richard’s reputation is renowned and solely works through referrals. This is testament to the fact he still oversees all projects ensuring his exacting standards are met for every single client that is taken on.
